Sniffles

This weather has been making us sick...literally. 80 degrees yesterday, and then only 50 degrees today. The kids are sick again. Drew missed his field trip today, and we've been stuck inside which (in between distributing medicine, cleaning up puke, and changing diapers) has given me the perfect opportunity to fine tune my Mario Brothers skills on the wii. I have such fond memories of playing Nintendo with my brothers. It's one of the few things we never fought over. I don't know if we had a rickety Nintendo or if we just played it so much that we wore it out, but some of my favorite memories are of us blowing into the machine until we turned purple and jamming a butter knife into the game slot trying to get it to work. Then once we finally got it on, we would guard it like Fort Knox so that no one would accidentally turn it off. We'd even leave it on for days because there was no save option back then. Ahh.. good times.
Before all of the runny noses, we had a chance to go to Kids Space. It was Maddi's first time at the park, and when I whipped out my camera to take some pictures, I realized the battery was dead. Boo hoo. Well, needles to say, I am ready for Spring time to finally arrive... and stay... so that we can go outside and play.
Here are a few cute pictures that I took of Maddi and Sean. Sean suprised me and put this song on the blog, so crank it up and listen. He's such a sweetie-pie. Have I mentioned lately how much I love him?

Brad Paisley -She's Everything

She’s a yellow pair of running shoes. A holey pair of jeans. She’s looks great in cheap sunglasses. She looks great in anything. She’s “I want a piece of chocolate.” “Take me to a movie.” She’s “I can’t find a thing to wear.” Now and then she’s moody. She’s a Saturn with a sunroof,With her brown hair a blowin'. She’s a soft place to land, And a good feeling knowing. She’s a warm conversation that I wouldn’t miss for nothing. She’s a fighter when she’s mad and a lover when she’s loving. She’s everything that I ever wanted, And everything I need. When I talk about her I go on and on and on. Cause she is everything to me. She’s a Saturday out on the town. Church girl on Sunday. A cross around her neck and a cuss word cause it’s Monday. She’s a bubble bath and candle baby come and kiss me. She’s a one glass of wine and she’s feelin kinda tipsy. She’s the giver I wish I could be and the stealer of the covers. She’s the picture in my wallet. She’s the hand that I'm holdin when I’m on my knees and prayin. She’s the answer to my prayers. She’s the song that I’m playin and She’s everything that I ever wanted, And everything I need. When I talk about her I go on and on and on. Cause she is everything to me. She’s the voice I love to hear Someday when I’m 90. She's that wooden rocking chair I want rocking right beside me. Everyday that passes I only love her more. Yea she’s the one that I'd lay down my own life for. She’s everything that I ever wanted, And everything I need. When I talk about her I go on and on and on. Cause she is everything to me.

Ok, that is hilarious. We were exactly the same way. I guess everyone's eventually gave out and somehow blowing into the game would magically make it work then no one could even breath near the thing or it would spaz out!
