merry Christmas

This Christmas is our first in a few years to be home alone to celebrate.  For the past few years we've been in Florida with our Grandparents or we've had family staying with us.  At first I was pretty glum about the idea, but it has been nice to just spend this day together celebrating our Savior's birth and the gift of love he's given us through our relationships with each other. We'll read the Christmas story, open presents, go see the new Disney movie, and then just relax together.  Changing things up has helped me realize that it doesn't matter who we're with or what we're doing; celebrating our Savior's birth is what makes the day so special.
