City Animal Services
We took a field trip today to the city animal shelter. We got to see how they take care of the animals when they get to the shelter, where they bathe & feed them, where the animals sleep & play, & how they are adopted. We have adopted two of the kindest pups there, so it was interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Dismals canyon
We went to Dismals Canyon last week and took their night tour to see the glow worms. We went a few hours early and the hung out in their quirky little lodge. We played cards and had milkshakes and watched football till it was our turn for the tour. We hiked to the rock faces where the glow worms live and then everyone turned off their flashlights and slowly the tiny little glowing worms that they call dismalites came into focus. It was pretty awesome... A tiny bit scary to hike through the woods in complete darkness, but mostly just awesome.
Tate farms
It's pumpkin picking time again!! We went to Tate farms and took a hay ride out to the farm to pick out our pumpkins. We also played on the jumping pillows, dived into the corn crib, and snuggled the bunnies. It's finally starting to feel like autumn around here.
