For our vacation this year, we decided to go on another cruise. We started our journey by taking a train to New Orleans. The kids loved the train ride! It was nice to have us both available to entertain the kids, the ride was pleasant, and it didn't take much longer than it takes us to drive. We even saw some friends from church at the train terminal and were able to chat with them until our train arrived. We got to New Orleans after dark, but after we checked in to our hotel, we walked around a little and found a place to eat. The next morning before we boarded the ship, we had time to walk to the French Quarter and back. It was incredibly foggy and kind of drizzly, but we enjoyed walking around and killing a little time before hopping on the Dream.
