The area we visited was demolished by hurricane Katrina, and then even more recently it was marred by the Gulf Oil Spill. Although it is a beautiful town and in the process of rebuilding and remodeling, there are horrible, dirty secrets that are exposed when the tide is lowest. Painting and rebuilding have created a beautiful facade, but I feel that we have overlooked the fact that Earth has been jaded by our actions. I hope that this area can continue to heal from both its natural and man-made disasters, and that we can keep the health of this beautiful home that God created for us forward in our minds.

The Dirty Truth
The area we visited was demolished by hurricane Katrina, and then even more recently it was marred by the Gulf Oil Spill. Although it is a beautiful town and in the process of rebuilding and remodeling, there are horrible, dirty secrets that are exposed when the tide is lowest. Painting and rebuilding have created a beautiful facade, but I feel that we have overlooked the fact that Earth has been jaded by our actions. I hope that this area can continue to heal from both its natural and man-made disasters, and that we can keep the health of this beautiful home that God created for us forward in our minds.
